I’m not really good at spontaneity
one thing you really cannot discount on Valentines Day. EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT will have a HUGE WAIT. So as I stated in a previous post my intention was to “do italian”. As soon as my beloved got home that plan was modified to Red Lobster. Well after a slow start we finally made it to a very busy Red Lobster (which I wasn’t going to wait 75 minutes for). 2nd choice was Olive Garden, upon our arrival my love informed me that SHE didnt want to wait their 70 minute wait. Soooo whats a hungry man to do?
Well we did what I said we wouldn’t do, we found ourselves at Rancho Chico, it’s a bit better than Dos Amigos and it’s more authentic. Dos Amigos is more schticky and really doesnt have hispanics working there (only in kitchen positions) I also learned a very important lesson, when eating mexican, eat in moderation. We didnt have gastronimical accidents this time around
Love, Amor
Valentines 2007
I’m normally a thoughtful person so for the first Valentines Day with my lady love I played it smooth. Thoughtful gift, flowers and a nice dinner.. THAT’s where the problem started. We mutually agreed to go to our favorite local mexican restaurant.. BIG mistake. I order my usual chicken burrito and I think she ordered either an enchilada or fajita, well regardless of her choice, this restaurant serves beans with almost EVERYTHING. We spent the rest of the night all queasy and making frequent trips to the bathroom, ugh . This year we’re doing italian.
