I’ve noticed

lately it seems if I’m not posting an update, I’m posting about someones death.  well I’m too old to be emo but I can’t help it, the comedians and actors that I’ve grown up with are passing away, a sad part of life. This past week Dom DeLuise died, for me I guess I will remember him for being Burt Reynolds Cannonball Run sidekick as well as spots in Blazing Saddles and the infamous Pizza the Hutt in Mel Brook’s “Spaceballs”. RIP Mr De Luise

Rest In Peace Dorothy

I caught a quick mention on Yahoo of Bea Arthur passing away, she was most famous for portraying Maude, Archie Bunker’s polar opposite. But I will always remember her as Dorothy Zbornak, one of the funniest characters ever on NBC’s 80s sitcom The Golden Girls http://omg.yahoo.com/news/golden-girls-star-bea-arthur-dies-at-86/21766?nc.

a review 18 years too late

when I was a kid (society calls em tweens and I think that sounds disgusting)… anyway, a movie called WARLOCK happened upon HBO/Cinemax. Being the unsupervised child that I was, a movie that sounds that inherently evil obviously appealed to me.  

Without giving away much of the plot away it’s fair to say that the Warlock came to A. Kill People and B.Serve his dark master and he ends up doing alot of both. It has some fake blood and cheesey 1980’s f/x and although its not too extremely gorey it does its best to show alot of spoooooooky new england and the Insane Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah….

I was just thinking

I figured while I was on the subject of Cuba I’d take a minute to write about something that I’ve noticed for the past few years. Something that irks me is Ernesto “Che” Guevara’s face emblazoned on t-shirts and being glorified by people like Rage Against The Machine. Please don’t fool yourselves, DO some research, That man was a killer. He wasn’t a good person, he didn’t have the best of intentions when he involved himself with Fidel Castro’s campaign to seize control of Cuba. They murdered their way across Cuba and took land and property that belonged to decent people who did nothing wrong. Castro and Guevara were opportunists who murdered people, I keep reiterating that point because I have family who died during the revolution. So next time you’re at Hot Topic or listening to Rage, THINK!! And take off that stupid t-shirt, the man was a killer

ok, so what have we learned.

regardless if you meant it or not. Don’t die in a room, naked near sleeping pills. The press are scum and will make up lies REGARDLESS of the truth. I guess if you make it in the movies/tv you should really seek continual mental help. Well let me shut it, it’s not known how Mr. Ledger died, hell of an actor though

We Will Miss you Sam the Butcher

Sam the Butcher (AKA Allan Melvin) passed away this week leaving a legion of Brady fans meatless. No i kid Sam was very funny in the Brady Bunch and he also played one of Archie Bunker’s friends Barney Hefner. He also did cartoon voices.
