Fire to the north of us, fire to the west and WATER to the east, No I’m not going south

As the country has it’s eyes trained on Florida, the areas of Brevard, Okeechobee have had severe fires in the past few days. The fires for the most part have been somewhat contained but the smoke is lingering. At my present location (Martin County) smoke has been blowing in from the surrounding areas.. It’s not a pleasant smoke like a cigar, its more of a woodsy, chimneyish smell

W. would play Grimlock, a robot created by his group, a dim-witted dinosaur described as “cold, merciless and contemptuous of those he considers beneath him, such as human beings” (per Wikipedia). Grimlock was easily controlled by his contemporaries.

and finally (as my fears indicate) John McCain would play Galvatron, the re-incarnated version of Megatron (ref: Cheney-Megatron)

What I’ve learned

this has been an interesting two weeks, but I’ve learned something..

never insult someone whose musical tastes consists solely of has been white trash cabaret rock from the 70’s, they get really insulted and they get really angry and will leave you semi-coherent rants to delete in your comments.

(point being, you’re entitled to your opinion I’m entitled to mine, but I’ll be damned if some Meat Loaf fan is going to try to give me a piece of her mind)

the further decline of modern civilization

.. those of you who tend to read me on a semi regular basis  can guess that by the title I of course I’m going to talk about American Idol. The show keeps swirling further down the toilet, the past week saw the final 5 hacking and massacring Neil Diamond songs. Mr Neil Diamond, Mr Jewish Elvis has reached a new low in my eyes for letting his catalogue get butchered on the show. By this time, all the favorites have pretty much settled on their own formula, they will not change because they will attempt some type of career regardless if they win or not. Brooke is blonde emo and sunshine, a sensitive lady who tries to cry without blinking. David Archuleta will sing as if he’s been forced to sing for his life at a Korean Amusement park. David Cook has his emo mullet and will cover any cover song that he sees fit. Jason Castro is high and will always be high, it’s not sarcasm look at him when Seacrest is asking him questions, he doesn’t know where he is and he’d rather be eating some Cherry Garcia. At this point I’m rooting for the Puerto Rican chick to win even though she won’t, bottom two are Cook and Archuleta.

The newest annoyance in my life… The recent appearance of Meatloaf in the commercials for the “go phone”. Mr Loaf and an equally chubbed out young actor who I’ll call Loaf Jr. are singing about the pluses of Young Loaf having a Go Phone. I can proudly claim that I have never enjoyed Mr Loafs music so his butchering of his own song really doesn’t offend me as much as it makes me want to vomit. This is all topped off by Tiffany barging through the door to do some measly back up vocals, Am I supposed to believe that Tiffany married Meatloaf? What I find equally annoying is the weird faces Young Loaf makes when he is watching “his dad” rock out. Biting his lip as if he were trying to force a cinder block out of his rectum 

Why can’t Meatloaf fade away quietly? or atleast have the dignity of selling swamp land like Erik Estrada.
